Position Location:

STC Client site located in the Maryland/Virginia/Washington, D.C., area.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines from an accredited institution plus five to ten years of relevant experience.  5-10 years of experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.

Required Qualifications:

  • IAT Level II or III Certification
  • Experience with the RMF accreditation process
  • Experience with the application of STIGs
  • System configuration experience in LINUX
  • System configuration experience in VMWARE
  • System configuration experience with Enterprise Identity Management tools (LDAP, IPA, etc.)
  • Experience with certificate generation and renewal
  • Experience in VM lifecycle management (snapshots)

Security Clearance Requirements:

Candidate is required to possess an active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance and the ability to pass a CI polygraph.

Position Overview:

STC is seeking a Mid to Senior-level Security Administrator with 5-10 years of relevant experience.  This position will be involved with:

  • Research, installation, and testing of security patches to systems on multiple security domains
  • Monitoring logs of multiple system deployments
  • Providing documentation and other required artifacts for compliance of RMF packages
  • Research and application of STIGs to system deployments
  • Coordinating with System Administrators to ensure system passwords, certificates, etc., are up to date
  • Creation and Issuance of certificates

Candidate must have experience with:

  • Providing hands-on support, maintenance, performance monitoring, and optimization of 50 plus servers in a thin client environment.
  • Effectively communicating and working within a multi-contractor development and management team
  • Configuring systems with SANs
  • Configuring network devices – switches, IDS, firewalls, etc.
  • Working with cloud environments such as AWS
  • Working through the FedRAMP process
  • Using Kickstart and Puppet configurations
  • Adhering to ICD 503
  • Working individually under little supervision
  • Preparing and presenting technical information in the form of PowerPoint briefings and white papers.

Travel Demands:

Less than 10 percent travel anticipated
